Walking the Cycles of Self, Soul, and Earth

Plant Ally Circle Series: a yearlong journey guided by the rhythm of the Earth and the wisdom of plants.

Through eight seasonal plant ally circles, we walk the spiral of human development: child, adolescent, adult, and elder, mirroring the soul’s unfolding and the turning of the year.

The Wild Soul’s Journey is a sacred remembering and walking in rhythm with life. Over the course of eight seasonal gatherings, we partner with plant allies as wise companions through the inner and soul-based stages of human development. Each circle invites us to slow down, listen deeply, and engage in ceremony that reflects not only where we are in the natural world but where we are in the spiral of our becoming.

Why The Wild Souls Journey?

We live in a culture that often rushes, where transitions blur together, endings are bypassed, and new chapters begin without pause or reverence. Yet the soul moves at the pace of Earth. It speaks through symbols, seasons, and cycles. When we don’t take time to mark our inner passages, something sacred is lost. These circles are an invitation to return to a slower, more intentional rhythm one where life’s thresholds are honored and witnessed in community.

In this way, the plants become our elders. Each one holds an ancient intelligence shaped by season, soil, and sun. They do not rush their blooming or shedding. They teach us to meet each phase of our lives with presence and trust. To bloom in season.

To grieve what is fading. To rest in the dark. Their medicine and allyship helps us remember what it means to truly belong to our bodies, the Earth, and the unfolding mystery of our evolution.

Rooted in the wheel of the year, each plant ally embodies a soul stage: from the innocence of childhood to the fiery emergence of adolescence, the grief and purpose of adulthood, and the deep surrender of elderhood. These are rites of passage we rarely get to honor in our culture but they live within us, waiting to be seen, expressed, and integrated.

Through ritual, guided plant spirit journeys, seasonal reflection, and embodied integration, we move from knowing ourselves as separate to remembering ourselves as part of the web. This is soul work in partnership with the Earth. It is a practice of reconnection.

Each stage of this journey unfolds in its own time.

While the wheel of the year offers a rhythm and container, the soul does not move on a schedule. The thresholds we explore may take months or years to fully integrate. This is a practice of presence, not expectation. The spiral always welcomes us back.

Grounding of this Work

This work lives at the intersection of eco-depth practice, earth-based ritual, soul-tending, and initiatory relationship with plant allies. It is guided by the belief that:

• We each carry a unique soul essence that longs to be expressed.

• Plants are not simply tools or remedies, but elders, guides, and mirrors in our human journey.

• Healing is not about fixing what’s broken, but about remembering our wholeness in connection with self, soul, and the living Earth.

This path is not about achieving transformation in a single moment. It is about creating ceremonial containers that allow the soul to unfold in its own time. through relationship, ritual, and seasonal rhythm.

By entering into an initiatory relationship with the plants, we engage with them as sacred companions. Through their wisdom and companionship, we begin to mark the thresholds within us honoring passages that are too often rushed, silenced, or unseen.

In a time of cultural disconnection and ecological crisis, this is one way to come home. To your body. To your belonging. To your wild soul.

For those who long to...

• Honor inner and outer transitions through meaningful ritual

• Deepen their relationship with plants and seasonal rhythms

• Be witnessed and supported in authentic unfolding

• Remember their place in the living web

If this calls to you the journey welcomes you.

Come to one circle. Or walk the full spiral. The Earth remembers. Your soul does too.

2025 Plant Allies + Soul Stages

Violet – Early Childhood (Spring): Innocence, birth, innate belonging

Held on: May 11

Violet mirrors the early child’s experience of oneness, where there is no separation between self and world. In this circle, we soften back into that original state of interconnectedness, where the Earth is not outside of us, but part of who we are.

Dandelion – Late Childhood (Late Spring): Play, exploration, wonder, joy

Held on: June 11

Dandelion reflects the playful spark of the Explorer child curious, embodied, and joyful. In this circle, we root into wonder, move with the breeze, and reclaim the spontaneous joy that reminds us we’re meant to delight in being alive.

Yarrow – Early Adolescence (Summer): Self-trust, inner wisdom, energetic boundaries

Held on: July 20th

Yarrow supports the tender emergence of self-awareness, helping us discern what’s ours and what’s not. In this circle, we begin to stand in our inner knowing and cultivate energetic boundaries that protect and clarify our becoming.

Goldenrod – Late Adolescence (Late Summer): Authentic expression, belonging without betrayal, bridging individual and collective

Held on: August 24

Goldenrod supports us in the tender process of becoming. Learning to stand tall in our sense of Self while staying connected to others. This stage is not about fully knowing, but about exploring our truth in real time, learning that we can belong without betraying ourselves.

Blue Wood Aster – Early Adulthood (Fall): Inner reckoning, identity dissolution, grief

Held on: September 28th

Blue Wood Aster invites us into the sacred disorientation of early adulthood a time when the identities we’ve carried no longer fit. As the outer roles and expectations fall away, we are left with a raw grief that is not just for what was lost, but for what was never truly us. This circle holds space for that grief while honoring the quiet, internal shift where the voice of Soul begins to stir. It is not yet clarity, but a soft opening, an inner reckoning that initiates the journey home to our true essence.

Mugwort – Late Adulthood (Late Fall): Void, liminal, descent, shadow work, listening for soul

Held on: October 19

Mugwort leads us into the liminal void, where identities dissolve and the unseen stirs. This is a descent into shadow, where we meet what’s been hidden and reclaim the wisdom it holds. Mugwort invites us to surrender to the unknown, to soften into the in-between and trust the dark mystery to guide.

Elder – Elderhood (Winter): Death, transformation, surrender, integration, wholeness

Held on: November 16

Elder guides us into the sacred season of endings. This circle honors death as transformation-the many endings, inner and outer, that life asks of us. We release not to lose ourselves, but to clear the way for something deeper to emerge. Elder teaches us that it is through death not despite it that we come into wholeness. In this space of stillness and surrender, the soul begins to integrate, and all we’ve been is gathered into something more true.

Vervain – Dreaming Elder (Late Winter): Womb, soul rest, devotional visioning

Held on: December 14

Vervain returns us to the dreaming womb of winter, a place of rest and gestation. In this final circle, we honor the void not as absence, but as the fertile dark where soul vision roots before spring’s return.

Nature of this Work

This offering is exploratory and ceremonial in nature, a space for soul-tending. It’s not about self-improvement or finding answers, but about making space to be with what is, tenderly, symbolically, and in rhythm with the seasons. With the support of the plants and the turning Earth, we listen for the natural intelligence already alive within, and create space for it to unfold in its own time. This journey is not a ladder but a spiral. Each stage: child, adolescent, adult, elder holds wisdom we may return to again and again. There is no hierarchy here, no final destination. Just the rhythm of becoming and returning, of tending what is ready to be seen. Wherever you are on the spiral, you are in the right place.
